The IDOA Officer of the Year is an award given to an Illinois DARE Officer who has displayed exemplary skills in the classroom , shown professional and personal character  beyond reproach,  and is a leader in the communities in which they serve.

IDOA Officer of the Year nominations are accepted every spring on a date predetermined by the Executive Board.

  Award Recipient Announcements are made at the Summer Training Conference.
